VISIT
One of the most unique aspects to Studio One is the opportunity to visit, and direct the printing. It is the ideal way to build a one to one rapport between printer and photographer.
Particularly for project based work, series, books and exhibitions where the printing process is the final culmination of months and years of work. To be able to spend dedicated time, focused on print production, away from daily routines and distractions, can be a rewarding experience, and set up the groundwork for a close understanding of the details and subtleties required in the prints.
As is not often the case with larger labs, photographers work here is always afforded exclusive attention.
You can decide to stay whilst all work is completed, or leave me to complete, having signed off key elements and printing decisions.

I can arrange all aspects of your stay, once you have travelled to Cumbria. Various types of accomodation very close to my home are available, from £30 per night. We often find that driving clients around is the simplest option if arriving by train. Whatever your needs, a quick chat will sort it out. Once you arrive, I am delighted to look after any aspect. But your independence is always your choice.
If you wanted to venture into The Lakes, whilst I slaved away on the prints, I`m sure even this is possible, if you borrowed my car!
The studio is 6 miles from Oxenholme mainline station, which is 2 hours 35 mins journey time from London Euston.
